Meet Our Staff

Dave Williams

President

Dave is a passionate cinematographer and a leader in wedding and event productions. His leadership and trademark fluid shooting style have helped raise the bar for video production professionals around the world. Dave has won several international production awards and has been named one of the top 25 videographers by EventDV magazine three years in a row.  Dave’s a Philly boy at heart but his favorite places to shoot are the US Virgin Islands, Australia, and Vegas.

Sheryl Williams

Vice President

Sheryl is often the first person people speak to when learning about CinemaCake or Media Wave Video Productions. She is our ‘Sales Department’, with a remarkable ability to assess your needs, and clearly explain your requests to our production staff, contributing ideas that are both creative and smart. Sheryl also handles invoicing, scheduling and meetings.  She is the backbone of the day-to-day operations.

Stephen Rudick

Cinematographer

Steve brings extensive experience in event films to each project. He has worked with Dave since 1997 in all aspects of production. As a retired teacher, Steve has the experience to work, joke, and hit it off with just about anyone on a job.

Pete Tyson

Editor

Pete met Dave on a corporate shoot and has been working with CinemaCake since September of 2003. He has been with CinemaCake almost since the beginning and has seen it all!  With a BA in Film & Video from Penn State University, Pete has freelanced on independent films and local television crews. Pete also shoots and helps with our Same Day Edits, a high stress job that takes talent and patience.

Gary Hanna

Editor/Cinematographer

Gary has been with CinemaCake since 2004 primarily as an editor. He also handles some of our film work and motion graphics. Gary has a BFA in Film from the University of the Arts.

Jordan Oplinger

Editor/Cinematographer

With just over 8 years experience in the video production field, Jordan’s solid shooting ability and editing skills have proven to be his strongest assets. He has been featured in EventDV magazine’s “Natural Born Shooters” article, and was the 2008 “Battle of the Editors” award winner at WEVA Expo.  Jordan has spent the past two years at CinemaCake, as an editor, cinematographer, and corporate photographer. His production experience ranges from events to corporate productions, as well as select independent shorts. In addition to CinemaCake, he contributes to FreshDV, as both an editor and camera operator.

Jimmy Shelton

Editor/Cinematographer

Jimmy started as an intern in early 2009 and quickly moved into the position of Editor within a few months.  Jimmy’s passion for editing began as a teenager as he produced short home videos for his family.

Jeremy Schmidt

Editor

Jeremy is a filmmaker and musician. He started at CinemaCake in 2005. Jeremy graduated from Full Sail University in 2008 with a B.S. in film production.  In addition to CinemaCake, Jeremy has been building a production business of his own. He also contributes to examiner.com as a photo journalist.  In his down time, he loves to snowboard and wakeboard.

Michael Jones

Editor

A 1988 graduate of the Indiana University’s College of Arts & Sciences, Michael has been working in the media industry for fourteen years.  He has earned the 1992 Promax Medallion for best on-air promotion (WNDU/Golden Dome), the Cine 1992 Golden Eagle award for “The Unfolding Vision” program (University of Notre Dame) and the 1993 Indiana Judges Council award for “This Is My Neighborhood, No Shooting Allowed.”  Additionally, Michael has earned recognition for music production, having received three Honorable Mentions from Billboard Magazine from 1991 to 1993.  Michael’s projects have taken him to Cancun, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London, Garmisch-Partikiren, Istanbul, Beirut, Jordan, Syria and Israel. As an Apple certified Final Cut Pro editor, Michael works on both CinemaCake films as well as Media Wave Video Productions projects.

Tamer Tewfik

Audio

Tamer brings over ten years of audio engineering experience to CinemaCake. He is also a musician with a meticulous ear. His expertise assures that your video will sound crisp and clean, giving your production the kind of professional sound quality you can truly appreciate.

Michael Richards

Writer/Composer

Michael attended school locally at the William Penn Charter School. He received his undergraduate degree at Villanova and his Masters in Music Therapy at MCP Hahnemann. Michael has his own studio in Chester County where he creates scripts and original music for radio, TV, and video in American and Latin Markets. He practices Music Therapy with special needs children.

Josh Gold

Editor

Josh began his summer internships with CinemaCake in 2007 and was soon taken on as an employee.  He has been involved in all aspects of the business, including pre-production, event shoots, and editing.

Lisa Bell

Hair/Makeup/Wardrobe

International makeup artist, wardrobe stylist and production coordinator, Lisa brings a wealth of experience and creative talent to CinemaCake and our sister company Media Wave Video Productions. She is personal makeup artist to Vice president Joseph Biden, and worked on ABC’s infamous “Desperate Housewives” spoof with T.O. and Nicolette Sheridan. Lisa also recently wrapped up two Reebok “I am What I am” Campaign TV spots (Allen Iverson, Stevie Williams). From TV & film personalities to politicians, actors and top models to everyday people, Lisa makes everyone feel at ease and look fantastic.

Claudia Seyler

Hair/Makeup

Claudia Seyler is a celebrity Hair Stylist and Makeup Artist with 15 years of experience in the industry.  She provides services for television, commercials, print, corporate, photography, video, and special events. She specializes in evening/hair and make-up - particularly weddings -up-do’s, and works creatively with hairpieces. She has received several awards, including First Place at the IBS Show Competition in New York.  Her work has been seen in Bride Magazine, The Knot, Elegant Weddings , Delaware Bride, Inside Weddings, Philadelphia Magazine. Claudia was named one of the top ten hairstylist in Philadelphia in 2009.  Claudia is one of the most requested hair and makeup artist in the tri-state area and has gained the respect of some of the most reputable and respected vendors in the business.
