Dave:
Wow!  You have just blown me away.  I loved it.  We have such great memories of that day, and those few minutes of video brought it all back.
The funny thing is, I was just talking about you tonight, because I insisted that my good friends, Elaine and Barry, hire you to do their daughter’s Bat Mitzvah in May.  I was thrilled to hear that they have signed a contract with you, and I am going to forward your email to them to provide a preview of what they have in store. You’re the best!
Best regards to you and Sheryl,
Diane

Adam Segall’s Day Off - Youvie: You’re the Movie

November 01, 2008

At this moment, Adam is being introduced into his Bar Mitzvah party with one of our “Youvies” on Blu-ray DVD, distributed to four large plasma screens throughout the venue.  The Segall family loved the idea of celebrating Adam’s light and mischievous personality by borrowing a page from ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’.  Tonight’s Youvie was designed to introduce Adam into the room and open up the party with a laugh.

The Segalls were great sports and fun to work with as we made their Youvie in two days of principal photography and about a week of post-production.

Dave, hi!  I am writing this to let you know what a HUGE hit the youvie “Adam Segall’s Day Off” was at the Bar Mitzvah on Saturday!  People are STILL talking about it.

Also, many people commented on the montage and how professional your guys were who were at the party that night.

I really enjoyed making this happen with your team, and loved it all!

Thanks again!  Hope to be in touch soon, though it is 6 years until Jordan’s!!!

Caroline Segall

What’s a Youvie?  A Youvie is a custom concept video we produce for our clients.  CinemaCake began producing “Youvie Trailers” in 2002 as a way for wedding couples to ‘Save The Date’ and send out video ‘Wedding Invitations’.  Since then, we have created Youvies to celebrate bar and bat mitzvahs, birthdays, and anniversaries.  We’ve even created Youvies to spice up several corporate or social events with large screen and plasma displays. The possibilities are only limited by imagination.  Contact CinemaCake toll free at 866-989-0158 for more information.

ISES
International Special Events Society

Dozens of local florists and event planners worked tirelessly all year to be able to enter their best designs in this prestigious competition.  The awards ceremony was held at the Society Hill Sheraton on June 25th.  TableArt attended knowing a few of our events were nominated in the categories of “Best Table Design” and “Best Event Decor”.  We brought home an award for our Flower Power party for “Best Table Top”, and our Floating Candles party, designed in coordination with Brian Toner from Eventions Productions, and Dave Williams from CinemaCake  won an award for “Best Event Decor”.

Flower Power [WATCH VIDEO]
Ice crystals, crystal chandeliers, and flowers were the focal point of this awesome party at the Naval Yard in Philadelphia.  Chocolate brown velvet linens, glass vases filled with mango calla lillies, cherry brandy roses, mokara orchids, glass and crystal table top chandeliers won “Best Tabletop Design”!  The marriage of traditional velvet and flowers with the modern white water glass and white glass charger was a WOW!

Floating Candles [WATCH VIDEO]
Floating candles and video wallpaper were the focal point of this amazing party at the Crane Art Center in Philadelphia. Kathy Patty of TableArt, Brian Toner of Eventions,  and Dave Williams of CinemaCake worked together to produce this event which won “Best Event Decor” of Philadelphia. Hundreds of candles floated above the guests’ tables, video imagery brought the walls alive, and the tables were covered in grass wallpaper and were centered with Lucite ponds filled with riverrocks, orchid blooms, and floating candles. It was spectacular!
