Trip to Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty

It was for the older kids so Danielle was able to go as well as her cousin Alex, but I know Jonathan wished he could have joined us too.

Ironically, I don’t have a palmcorder on me as often as I should.  Twenty years from now, my kids will accuse me of being the equivalent of the shoemaker’s kids’ father.  So just for fun, I’m sharing this clip from our trip yesterday to New York with Temple Brith Achim.

My pro gear is too big to be convenient on family trips or school events so it’s really handy having a little palmcorder around.  I’m really enjoying making these little movies that I know will be appreciated many years from now.  It reminds me of the one I did three years ago when we surprised them with a Trip to Disney.

Back then I didn’t even HAVE a palmcorder convenient for the trip so I borrowed one from my neighbor.

Same Day Edit at the Ballroom at the Ben Philadelphia

Hi Dave,
Sorry we have not written yet, things have been very busy since the wedding.  I think they are starting to get back to normal now. 
The same day edit was unbelievable.  People are still coming up to us and telling us how amazing it was.  It was definitely my favorite part of the reception.  We can’t thank you and your editor enough.  It really was perfect. 
Also, besides the quality of the video, I wanted to let you know that you were a lot of fun the entire day. You really just went with the flow and made it easy and fun.  A lot of people from the bridal party commented on that as well.
I hope all is well with you guys.

Becky and Mark enjoy their Same Day Edit last night at the Ballroom at the Ben in Philadelphia.  Yes, that’s yours truly, sitting in the middle of the dance floor, shooting their reaction.  The crowd gave a standing ovation at the end of the seven minute presentation.  Thanks to Jordan for another great edit.

Voicemail: Tammy and Carter’s Reaction

What a sweet ending to an already perfect day.  I will blog about tonight’s Same Day Edit, but before I do, I want to share this voicemail from Tammy, who picked up her full-length DVDs today.  Thanks for the voicemail, Tammy!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!!! I love it!!!!

How can you do this to me? I am home alone. Carter is away for a few nights on business . . . it’s the first he’s been away since we’ve been married. And here I am, all alone, sitting on the couch watching the video, bawling my lonely little eyes out.

Dave, you were there from day one. You did our save-the-date video, our love story/same-day edit, our amazing wedding video. You became a part of our lives and you documented the beginning of our life together so perfectly. Gary, you did an absolutely tremendous job editing everything. Thank you for taking the time to go through everything and make it absolutely perfect. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts.

CinemaCake is the best. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know all of you and to work with all of you.

Thank you. Now I have to go cry some more.
