Mike Williams: (02.16.07-3:34am) Good one Dave! It really shows what the final edit can do to the same footage.

Anonymous: (02.16.07-9:09pm) When will the winners be announced?

Dave Williams: (02.18.07-1:57am) The top three as picked by our crack team of pizza and beer fed video professionals will be announced at the GPVA meeting on Tuesday, February 20. Visit http://www.GPVA.com to RSVP.

FTPWeddings: (02.18.07-10:55am) When will the results be posted online for the rest of us who won't be at the GPVA meeting??

Dave: (02.24.07-1:03pm) Just curious as to when the winners will be posted?

Matt Headley: (03.02.07-7:47pm) I'm very proud of my piece (#4). And according to the WedVidTalk podcast, the bride agrees. May I post it on my web site with obvious videographer credit to dvideography? The watermark will also not be hidden.

Wing Bowl 15 in Philadelphia

February 09, 2007

On Friday I was hired by Peter Boardman of Lifestory Video Productions, in a sole partnering effort with 610 WIP Sports Radio to shoot Steadicam and do the post-production for the Wing Bowl 15 DVD.

As Pat Croce, the Wing Bowl Commissioner says in this Wingbowl Trailer, proceeds from this DVD will benefit spinal cord research.

Fellow GPVA members on the shoot included Joe Bradley of Bradley Video Productions, Steve Wernick of Videoccasion shooting stills for Event DV magazine, assistant Mark Hepford, and Jordan Oplinger (post-production).

You can support spinal cord injury research by purchasing this fun and sexy DVD.  Visit www.WingBowlVideo.com

Thanks for your support!

Dave Williams Addresses ISES Philadelphia

February 04, 2007

Dave Williams of CinemaCake sponsored the January meeting of the local chapter of the International Special Events Society ( ISES ) at Rae, a Philadelphia restaurant by Daniel Stern in the new Cira Centre.

The International Special Events Society (ISES) was founded in 1987 to foster enlightened performance through education while promoting ethical conduct. ISES works to join professionals to focus on the “event as a whole” rather than its individual parts. ISES has grown to involve nearly 3,000 members active in 30 chapters throughout the world.
Membership brings together professionals from a variety of special events disciplines including caterers, meeting planners, decorators, event planners, audio-visual technicians, party and convention coordinators, educators, journalists, hotel sales managers and many more professional disciplines. The solid peer network ISES provides helps special events professionals produce outstanding results for clients while establishing positive working relationships with other event colleagues.
